One of the latest ominous signs for Democrats leading up to the midterms came from a CBS/YouGov poll showing President Biden's approval rating at an all-time low.
Even worse than his 42% approval rating is how voters rate the president's handling of crucial kitchen table issues.
As the NRSC opines:
Americans don't trust Joe Biden and Senate Democrats to handle important issues like crime and inflation. Why should they? Senate Democrats and hopefuls don't even know how much a gallon of gas costs in their states.
Senate Democrats spew empty rhetoric about working to lower prices. But at the end of the day, they vote for Biden's inflation-inducing agenda anyway.
Voters want a Senate majority that will stand up to Biden's dangerous agenda. This new poll clearly shows that Senate Democrats aren't up to the task.
President Biden gets his lowest marks on the economy and inflation. Sixty-five percent of respondents said Biden could be doing more to lower gas prices. While Democrats remain more likely to only blame oil and gas companies and the Russia-Ukraine conflict for the pain at the pump, nearly four in ten believe the president could do more, particularly for lower-income Americans.
