Video: 7 Times McAuliffe Confirmed He Thinks You Should Have No Say in Your Child’s Education

-

Republican nominee for governor 's campaign spokeswoman Macaulay Porter released the following statement regarding 's new TV ad inwhich he laughably claims his comments about parents and schools are being taken “out of context.”

“Two weeks before Election Day, Terry McAuliffe is struggling to save his campaign,” said Porter. “After 3 weeks of confirming more than half a dozen times that he meant exactly what he said in the debate, McAuliffe has been ordered by panicked DC Democrats to stop spouting anti-parent screeds. But it's too late – Terry showed us his heart. This is what he believes. His attempt to fool Virginians is pathetic, and parents know the truth because the videos don't lie. Terry will have to answer for that in two weeks on Election Day.”

In the final debate on September 28, Youngkin confronted McAuliffe for vetoing as governor two bipartisan bills that would have required schools to notify parents of sexually explicit content in instructional materials, including assigned reading.

As McAuliffe continued his anti-parent campaign, the Youngkin campaign launched “Parents Matter,” a movement of families, parents, children, and caring neighbors that will stand up to and reject McAuliffe's attempts to silence parents and stand between them and their children.
