Another Win for Religious Liberty in Latest Supreme Court Ruling

-

In a decision released today, the court has ruled that a high school football coach from Washington state can be both a public employee and pray at the 50-yard line during football games in the case of Kennedy v. Bremerton School District.

The court ruled 6-3 in favor of Bremerton High School football coach Joseph Kennedy who “lost his job as a high school football coach in the Bremerton School District after he knelt at midfield after games to offer a quiet personal prayer.”

Justice Gorsuch issued the majority opinion and Justices Thomas, Alito, Roberts, Kavanaugh and Barrett agreed with it. Justices Breyer, Sotomayor and Kagan made up the dissent.

In the ruling Gorsuch wrote that the court holds the following to be true:

The Free Exercise and Free Speech Clauses of the First Amendment protect an individual engaging in a personal religious observance from government reprisal; the Constitution neither mandates nor permits the government to suppress such religious expression.”

Gorsuch also wrote the following:

When Mr. Kennedy uttered the three prayers that resulted in his suspension, he was not engaged in speech “ordinarily within the scope” of his duties as a coach.”

Mike Pompeo — a former congressman who served as President Trump's Secretary of State and CIA Director — was one of many political figures who celebrated the ruling on Twitter:

  1. Way to go, Supremes. Note that the vote was 6 to 3 again with the majority voting for FREEDOM while the Leftist wing of the court voted against this man’s right to pray any place he darn well pleases!
    A WIN FOR FREEDOM!

  2. Good, keep up the good work and show those lousy leftists that we ain’t fo0ling around anymore and we are no longer standing for any of their crap!! Enough is enough!!!

  3. When someone prays after, before, or during any circumstances he or she is showing that he or she is a very decent and civilize human being and someone that is most likely to be trusted and honest in the community he or she live in. Those that oppose praying, for whatever reason, informs everyone that hears that evil argument that those that oppose praying teaches everyone that hears there bulls–t that they themselves can never be trusted by anyone.

  4. We MUST remove the Left from office in 2020 and 2022 to retain our freedoms and financial solvency Biden, etc. are obliterating more of every day. LGB

  5. Praise Yahweh!

But this is not anywhere near the victory many may consider it to be.

Instead, this is but another instance proving that contemporary Christianity has been reduced to begging for crumbs from underneath the table of the secular masters, in this case the table of nine biblically unqualified secular judges. Keep in mind, even a master who regularly kicks his dog will occasionally thrown him a bone.

Christians were officially sent “under the table” when the late 18th-century Christians allowed the 1787 cadre of Enlightenment and Masonic theistic rationalists (aka constitutional framers) to erect a biblically egregious government established upon their biblically seditious Constitution,* when instead the framers should have been held accountable to Deuteronomy 13.

What was Christendom (Christians dominionizing society on behalf of their King) in early 1600s America has devolved into mere four-walled, stain-glassed, pewtrifying Christianity. The bulk of today’s Christians are best depicted by Christ in Matthew 5:13 as salt that’s lost its savor, good for nothing but to be trampled under the foot of man. But all is not bad news in this in that a good foot stomping tends to bring back some of the saltiness.

Unless you’re satisfied with crumbs while at same time being kicked, time to get salty again and start working toward taking dominion back from the anti-Christs and non-Christians.

  6. The midterms are almost here sire, then you and your oath breakers are properly fxxxed. Biden thinks he has been elected king, WTF, when the impeachment hearing start, lets see just how much king biden has to have say about his corruption. America has never elected kings, the oath of office taken is to protect and serve, we do not have kings anointed in this country and never will, hope the democrats understand that, midterms to prove that point.
