Investigation Into Trump Org Continuing Despite Prosecutors’ Resignations

-

Despite speculation to the contrary, the New York County District Attorney's Office has continued its criminal investigation into and his practices.

In late February, the two leading prosecutors in the DA's investigation of Trump stopped presenting evidence to a state grand jury. They eventually resigned after the new district attorney, expressed doubts about the case against the former president moving forward.

However, Bragg revealed today that Trump may still face criminal charges.

His office previously indicted the and its former CFO Allen Weisselberg on 15 felony counts.

American Liberty News reported on signs that despite the investigation's setbacks, the former president wasn't in the clear — even though his lawyers had all but declared victory:

At the same time, prosecutors had brought witnesses, including a prominent Trump accountant, to testify before the grand jury. Worse, Mazars Group, the longtime accounting firm for the Trump Organization, cut ties with Trump's business, saying it could no longer stand behind its annual statements.

Trump blamed “radical RACIST leftist prosecutors” for “frightening” his former accounting firm.

further reports:

“Investigations are not linear. So we are following the leads in front of us, and that's what we're doing,” Alvin Bragg Jr. told CNN in an interview. “The investigation is very much ongoing.”

Bragg said he wanted the public to understand that he's restrained from discussing “the meat” of the investigation but he said when it's over he will inform the public about his conclusion — whether it's an indictment or closing the case without charges.

When pressed by CNN, Bragg declined to put a timeline on the case's development:

“When I was at the Attorney General's office as chief deputy overseeing the entire office, I led the team that brought the successful litigation against the former president and the Trump Foundation. So I do what's put before me. That's what I've done as a career prosecutor, follow the facts and we'll go where they take us and that's what we're doing each and every day in the office,” Bragg said.

He also said he would leave “no stone unturned” in the Trump investigation.

  1. What a bunch of bull crap! Trump business has been probably the most investigated business in the world for years and years and yet they haven’t found any concrete evidence of anything ! I would correct this prosecutor Bragg’s that every stone has be turned all ready! So just collect your “fishing” pole & your paycheck and go home! Butt head.

  2. The left will never stop investigating Trump as long as they have the cash and motivation to continue. He is their obsession and they can’t help themselves. It isn’t about justice it is about fear and power.

  3. Who’s pocket does Bragg have his hand in. There is always an underlying reason behind this continued persecution.

  4. Trump has been investigated continuously for the past 6 years and there hasn’t been anything found. Why? Because there isn’t anything to be found. Doesn’t stop the liberals from looking. If they looked 1/1ooth as much at Biden and/or Hillary they would be neck deep in evidence of corruption on both; But, what do the democrats care? They aren’t spending their money, they’re spending ours
