Porn Star Loses Appeal in Defamation Case Against President Trump

-

A federal appeals court has rejected porn star ' attempt to overturn a lower court's decision to dismiss her defamation lawsuit against .

The ruling likely ends Daniels' years-long legal feud with the former president.

Worse still, the court's decision means Daniels owes him nearly $300,000 in legal fees.

Despite the stinging defeat, Daniels remained defiant, tweeting afterward, “I will go to jail before I pay a penny.”

As CNBC reports:

The amount Daniels owes Trump in the case is about the same amount she was swindled out of by Michael Avenatti, her former lawyer.

Avenatti was convicted in Manhattan federal court last month of defrauding her out of money she was owed in a book deal to write about her experience with Trump. He is due to be sentenced June 2.

Trump on Monday called the 9th Circuit's ruling for him “a total and complete victory and vindication for, and of me.”

“The lawsuit was a purely political stunt that never should have started, or allowed to happen, and I am pleased that my lawyers were able to bring it to a successful conclusion after the court fully rejected her appeal,” Trump said. “Now all I have to do is wait for all of the money she owes me.”

“P.S. The Fake News probably won't report this story!” Trump concluded.
