White House Tweets Formula Crisis Update After Press Secretary’s Briefing Gaffe

-

The Biden had to issue an update on the baby formula crisis via Twitter after Press Secretary Karine Jean – Pierre was unable to answer a reporter's question on the issue during yesterday's White House press briefing.

The Administation shared the following update on their official Twitter feed this morning.

“Operation Fly Formula Update: nine new flights are scheduled for this week — projecting to import over 4 million 8-ounce bottles of infant formula.

This means by this Sunday, Operation Fly Formula will have imported nearly 12 million bottles of infant formula to the U.S.”

During yesterday's press briefing, Jean-Pierre was asked about the crisis by a reporter.

“What is the latest update the White House has recieved on the current infant formula situation across the country?”

The press secretary's response can be seen in the following clip.

Jean-Pierre replied with the following answer:

“Yeah … let me see if I have anything new for you on that … uh … I think it's been couple of days since we have been asked that question.

Jean – Pierre then took a lengthy pause, before continuing her reponse.

“OK, I don't have anything new” she said.

“I know we made some announcements last week, I just don't have them in front of me.”

  1. So much for “made in America.” The new press secretary is pretty naive, looking like she doesn’t ask a lot of questions & just accepts what the WH staff feeds her & then doesn’t read it thoroughly.

It is a learning experience but she’s got fires to put out every day & she’s not up to it right now. And that’s just another example of the Biden Administration being WRONG in everything they do.

  2. She’s perfect for this senile president. They both have to read their notes to answer any questions.

  3. She’s perfect for this president. They both have to have notebooks with the answers to any pre- briefed questions, because neither one can answer them off their heads.

    • Sadly, it is necessary. We cannot allow comments calling for violence or bots making spam comments. Bots being the more frequent issue. We’ll be changing this with the new site launch coming soon, and won’t manually moderate comments as much.

  4. I’m waiting for the time when she will flip pages and accidently Biden’s “Dick and Jane” first grade book. Oh wait, that was ours in the early 50s. Do they even use that reader anymore? I hope Biden didn’t accidently leave it in her crib notes.

  5. Thats an insult to all mensa members. Even those with lobotomies are smarter than the government that can’t talk straight.

    • Paul, it’s not really insulting mensa members. The comment implies that the difference in IQs between Jen and Karine is like the difference between a memsa member and a person with a average IQ. For example 200 to 110 or government lackeys 98 to 10. Jen almost seemed believable unless you actually listened to what she was saying.

  6. With a population of more than 300 million people, (2020 estimate was 3.4 million infants) 12 million 8-oz bottles is just barely a drop in the bucket! That is probably as effective as releasing 3 million barrels of oil from the National Emergency Oil Reserve which covered the country’s needs for what? 2 or 3 days? This administration is worse than a joke. It is a “Comedy of Errors” resulting in a tragedy!
