Trump Shares Audio That Appears to Show Piers Morgan Lied About Interview

-

Controversial tabloid journalist has a new show on .

A preview for its first episode teased Morgan's allegedly explosive interview with .

The clip spread like wildfire online, which Morgan was sure to capitalize on by writing an article for the Post that described his confrontation with Trump with scrupulous attention to detail.

Morgan even claimed he got an irate Trump to briefly sit back down so that they could discuss his recent hole in one.

The British personality claimed that after Trump briefly discussed his lucky shot, he jumped back up to his feet and barked, “turn the cameras off!”

Morgan continued, “Then he turned on his heel and sloped angrily off through a side door, loudly muttering, ‘SO dishonest …'”

However, Trump's advisers recorded audio of the interview and shared it with the conservative news outlet Breitbart. While Trump and Morgan got into it over the results of the — the interview didn't end with the 45th president storming off.

Hot Air further reports:

In his Post story, Morgan compared his confrontation with Trump to the famous scene in “A Few Good Men” in which Jack Nicholson melts down under tough questioning on the witness stand and confesses. Does that audio clip sound like “A Few Good Men”? Here's how the dramatic bit in the promo where Trump says “turn the cameras off” really went down, according to his spokesman:

“That was a great interview,” Morgan says in the audio at the end.

Trump agrees with a “yeah.”

The term “fake news” seems like more than an idle slur in this case:

  1. OK, yes, Morgan IS a complete slimeball. Since when does an interviewer/journalist interject his own opinions? Has anyone ever said to the Pope during an interview: “You know there’s nothing wrong with birth control!” just to get a reaction and try to increase ratings?
