McAuliffe Abruptly Shuts Down Interview, Tells Reporter Ask Better Questions

-

A new poll shows a dead heat in Virginia's governor's race. And it's not the only one. Since the beginning of October, all but one survey included in RealClearPolitics' polling data have shown Republican gaining on . McAuliffe has no doubt taken notice, releasing defensive ads attempting to explain away his remarks on parent participation in school decision-making.

But that's not all. The stress of knowing Virginia may very well elect a Republican governor for the first time in 12 years, has McAuliffe increasingly frustrated.

McAuliffe has taken criticism for his rebuke of the reporter, in which he told him “you should have asked better questions,” after cutting the interview short on Tuesday.

“These aren't that hard questions,” Youngkin said. “'How are you going to fix our schools and what are you going to do to make our community safe?'”

“And here's Terry McAuliffe, who won't even answer questions from a local reporter. He yells at sheriffs. He barks at people all the time. I think he's losing it because he knows this race is slipping away from him.”
