Investigation Into Aborted Fetal Experiments Leaves Unanswered Questions

-

Nearly a year after the Center for Medical Progress exposed -sponsored fetal experimentation at the (Pitt), an investigation was published. However, pro-life activists are unsatisfied with the investigation.

The exposé was published in May of 2021, and in September over 90 members of sent an oversight letter to the regarding the $1.5 million grant awarded by the (NIH) to Pitt researchers.

The study explained scalping five-month-old aborted children to create “humanized mice” by placing the skin grafts on the rodents.

The letter asked if the fetal tissue originated from babies that were born alive and subsequently killed through organ harvesting (infanticide) and if the procedures were changed for the purpose of obtaining aborted fetal tissue for research. Both of which are against federal law.

Upon public pressure, Pitt hired a private firm to investigate the experiment and prove legality. In a 40 page report, the investigation concluded, “The University's activities in support of research involving human fetal tissue are conducted in compliance with federal and state laws.”

Chairman of the House Pro-Life Caucus, Representative Chris Smith, told Fox News he thought the investigation was a “whitewash.”

He continued, “A truly transparent and comprehensive assessment would not have evaded the questions raised by public records, especially and including whether the University of Pittsburgh used the body parts of babies who were born alive and died from having their organs harvested, as well as if individuals procuring the baby body parts for the university altered abortion procedures to suit their gruesome research.”

Since the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center is a private organization, the firm “… did not review the clinical decision-making or delivery of medical care, such as abortion, by individuals serving in their capacity as University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) employees.”

David Daleiden of the Center for Medical Progress said, “Again, by the ‘Regulatory Assessment's own admission, it did NOT investigate the reports of babies delivered alive and killed by organ harvesting in the Pitt system's abortion program. This glaring omission only heightens the need for official and public scrutiny.”

Medical researcher and of the Charlotte Lozier Institute, David Prentice, told College Fix, “It really is up to the scientists to bring the scientific community into the modern world of research that does not allow this horrific trafficking of baby body parts. It is just better science as well as certainly better ethics for the scientific community.”

  1. This is simply disgusting no matter how it happened. The only time that any human tissue should be used is if the human (baby or adult) dies of natural causes and the deceased allowed their body to be used for such experimentation.

  2. I hope and pray that there is a place in the hottest part of HELL for these people who murder babies. I wish them a long painful, death on their way to HELL.
